American Womens Club of Auckland
Founded in 1942, our club aims to promote mutual goodwill, understanding, respect and co-operation between members of the Club and the New Zealand community.
Our purpose is to make your life a little easier and, hopefully, happier. Whether you have just arrived in New Zealand or have spent your whole life here, our club members can offer you a wealth of information, along with friendship and a sense of community. We maintain an American atmosphere within the club by observing traditional holidays and activities. And as a voluntary non-profit organization, we contribute time and financial support to a charitable organization, as approved each year by the membership.
Many of our members have been here for years, having married Kiwis, others are here because we have chosen to live here. Some are with American companies for a few years or until the new assignment arrives. While most of our members are American, or have some US connection, others are from here or elsewhere and just like us and our club. We range in age from twenty to ninety plus! Geographically, we cover all of greater Auckland and beyond.
